Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Use High Resolution: Always opt for high-resolution settings. This significantly improves the finish and detail of engravings on curved surfaces.
  • Locking the Motors: Objects with uneven weight (such as a mug with a handle) may rotate unexpectedly. It is best practice to lock the motors via software after positioning your object.
  • Power Parameters: If you are working with a new material, start with low power settings. It is safer to run a second pass than to risk damaging the object.
  • Glass Engraving: Ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned with alcohol. Since glass is sensitive to temperature changes, using low power is crucial to prevent cracking.

  • Handling Irregular Shapes: For standard cylinders, use the diameter. For tapered objects (like traditional cups), measure the circumference of the specific engraving area to avoid distortion.
