Internal Machine Cleaning

Keeping the interior of your machine clean is essential for the durability of your Due Flow and the overall quality of your projects. This guide covers the maintenance of the work area base, the laser tube, and the motion rails.

Safety Warning

All cleaning procedures must be performed with the machine disconnected from the power supply.

Work Area Base

When cutting materials, residues naturally fall to the bottom of the machine. The frequency of this cleaning depends on your workload and the materials used, ranging from daily to weekly.

Pro Tip: Debris accumulating under the honeycomb bed can cause it to become unlevel, which directly affects the laser focus.

Required Materials

  • Small hand broom and dustpan
  • Damp cloth

Cleaning Procedure

  1. Clear the Area: If you use support blades, remove them from their slots. If you use a honeycomb bed, remove it and tap it gently to shake loose any trapped debris.
  2. Sweep: Use the hand broom and dustpan to collect residues from the bottom protection plate.
  3. Wipe Down: Remove the protection plate and wipe it thoroughly with a damp cloth. Clean the rest of the machine's interior as well.
  4. Reassemble: Place the protection plate and the blades or honeycomb back into position.

Laser Tube Surface

Gases produced during the cutting process accumulate on the glass surface of the laser tube, creating a thin layer of resin. This must be cleaned weekly.

Required Materials

  • A soft cloth dampened with warm water

Cleaning Procedure

Gently wipe the entire glass surface of the laser tube with the damp cloth to remove any film or dust buildup.

Motion Rails

The motion rails are the aluminum tubular structures that allow the rollers to move smoothly. Any soot or residue on these tracks can cause the axes to jam or compromise the precision of your work. This cleaning should be done weekly.

Required Materials

  • A damp cloth

Cleaning Procedure

Gently wipe all the motion rails with the damp cloth. Pay close attention to the tracks where the rollers glide and ensure all corners are free of accumulated dirt.
