Maintenance & Cleaning Frequency

Keeping your Due Flow clean is vital for the machine's longevity and the quality of your work. This guide outlines how often you should perform maintenance to keep everything running perfectly.

Maintenance Schedule Summary

To help you remember the cleaning cycles, follow this general guideline:

Daily Maintenance

  • Work Area: Always remove debris and residues from the cutting bed. Do not allow waste to accumulate at the bottom of the machine.
  • MDF Cutting: MDF releases gases and resins that dirty the optics very quickly. If you work with this material, you must clean the lenses, mirrors, and exhaust fan daily.
    • Note: While the machine handles MDF well, the resin buildup can reduce efficiency and cause gradual damage. Consider using less "messy" alternative materials whenever possible.

Weekly Maintenance

Most cleaning procedures should be done once a week. We recommend dedicating one hour a week to deep-clean your equipment. Key areas include: * Lens and Mirrors: Ensure they are free of dust and film. * Internal Components: Laser tube, work area, and motion rails. * Cooling & Ventilation: Clean the laser head cooler and the main exhaust fan.

Monthly Maintenance

  • Laser Tube Lens: This lens is slightly hidden but essential for a clean beam.
  • Radiator: Check for dust buildup on the radiator fins to ensure proper cooling.

Water Changes (Every 2 Months)

If you are using the correct demineralized water, it should be replaced approximately every two months.

Pro Tip: Always monitor the water clarity. If the water stops being translucent or the tube starts showing a yellowish tint, change it immediately, regardless of the schedule.

Warning: Mineral Water

If you are using standard mineral water, you must change it weekly. However, to protect your machine's health, we strongly recommend switching to demineralized water as soon as possible.

Take Care of Your Due Flow

Following this frequency ensures a much longer lifespan and keeps your cuts precise. Treat your machine with care!
